4.3.1 IBM Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing
IBM Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing (Sametime) is the Instant Messaging and Conferencing system from IBM/Lotus exists in the current environment and is a familiar tool to many staff.
There is a Java API to allow programmatic access to the Sametime.
This project will initially be using Sametime as the Instant Messaging system but will be designed so as to keep Instant Messaging system specific code to a minimum and concentrated in one object.
